This Privacy Policy explains what information SocioPilots ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use our website and application (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, name (if provided), and a hashed password when you create a SocioPilots account.
• Connected account data: when you connect a social media account (for example, X or LinkedIn), we receive and store an encrypted access token (and, where provided, a refresh token) that lets SocioPilots publish on your behalf. We also store the connected account's platform user ID and display name.
• Content you create: the text, media links, and scheduling details of posts you create in SocioPilots, along with their publishing status and any errors encountered.
• Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type and access times, used for security and reliability purposes.

How we use your information

• To operate the Service: authenticate you, publish your scheduled posts and auto-comments to the accounts you connect, and show you the status of your posts.
• To communicate with you about your account or in response to a message you send us.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service.

How we protect your data

Access and refresh tokens for connected social accounts are encrypted at rest using a dedicated encryption key, separate from database credentials. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

Third-party services

To publish content on your behalf, SocioPilots communicates with the official APIs of the platforms you connect (currently X and LinkedIn). Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Data retention

We retain your account and connected-account data for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect a social account at any time, which removes our ability to post to it. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
